BACKGROUND

The Sam Houston Tollway East (SHTE) at SH 225 Direct Connector (DC) PS&E Project is a significant infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving connectivity and enhancing traffic flow. This ambitious project involves the planning and design of eight Direct Connectors that will link all lanes of SH 225 and SHTE, facilitating smoother and more efficient transportation. To support the construction of these crucial connections, infraTECH played a pivotal role in modifying the SH 225 roadway and its frontage roads. This work included widening existing bridges to increase capacity, rebuilding retaining walls to add new entrance and exit ramps and designing and constructing a new exit ramp bridge to improve accessibility.
